Painted Emu Eggs. These eggs
are approximately 6 inches in
diameter and equal to over a
dozen chicken eggs. They are
black in color before being
painted robin's egg blue.
Rock painting is one of my favorite
hobbies. Rocks like these are
throughout my aviary paths, ready
to pounce on any intruders.
These rocks are large, almost life
size, giving them an even more
realistic look. However,
paperweight size make great gifts.
Barkley, our dog, and Sprout, our
handraised Cordon Blue, (on back
of rock) enjoy time with the
friendly rocks.

cuddly squirrel rocks
My maiden name was Fox.
What better Mother's Day gift for
my mother than a rock with a
mother Fox and her two babies!
I get these rocks from a local rock
landscape company. They are so
intregued by my rock painting
hobby that they give me the rocks
for free. They are called "river
rocks" and are very smooth. I
prime them first, and seal them
with a clear non-yellowing
protective coating for outdoor use.
right- another large rock that
seems to be protecting the birds
from intruders. Below- A rock
painted to look like my mother's
poodle, Sparkey. - A great
personalized gift. She is sitting on
a pillow.
I also enjoy making wood items
such as the one on the left. A
three foot high wood statue of
"Sparkey" is used as a
serving table for birds or guests .
