Weapon Speed - Diminishing Returns
This shows how each additional IAS item adds less and less to the effective speed.
It is a function of the base weapon speed and then the speed mods.
The graph shows this run for common bow/crossbow weapon speeds.
Note: there is an artificial "cap" on the effective IAS at 75. This is reflected in this graph and in all of the speed calculations throughout this site.
Bow Speeds
All of the following graphs use the raw IAS values as input (e.g., along the X axis).
The calculations are made using the diminishing returns formulas as part of the speed calculations.
What this means is that you can look at these graphs and compare them directly to the IAS gear that you have.
The graphs show IAS from 0 to 285, since that is the most you can get from items in D2X.
The bow speeds use the Blizard convention of negative numbers being faster - e.g., a Gothic is 10 and a Double is -10.
