Ophiopogon japonicus (Mondo
Grass) 
Ophiopogon
are a group of evergreen clump forming perennials, grown for their
glossy dark green blade-like foliage. Lilac colored flowers bloom
on spikes in late summer, followed by bluish black berries. Generally
12" tall, spreading. Prefers sun to partial shade, and fertile,
well drained soil. Can be propagated by division in spring, or
seed in fall

Neorgelia (Bromilad) 
Neorgelia
is a genus that consists of 70 species of evergreen, rhizomatous
or stoloniferous, epiphytic or terrestrial bromeliads. Bromeliad
leaves may vary in color from gray to green, striped horizontally
or vertically with red, brown or yellow. All leaves are thick,
waxy and leathery with toothed edges and are formed in a rosette.
Flowers are tubular and long lasting. Grow bromeliads in well
drained soil or potting medium and water freely keeping rosette
cups filled with water. Fertilize monthly from spring to late
fall and then reduce water and omit fertilizer in the winter.

Acalypha pendula (Chenille
Plant) 
Compact,
weeping form and stunning flowers of this tropical plant makes
an ideal hanging basket or accent in a container garden. Exotic,
brilliant red, pendulous cattail flowers bloom almost year round.
Give partial shade and moderate water.

POLYSCIAS (Ming Aralias)

Long-blooming
annual. Small, lance-shaped leaves are held close to the stem
and are medium green. Brightly colored salverform flowers, to
1 inch wide, are held in clusters on stems above the foliage.
Excellent in the perennial border or rock garden. 'African Sunset'
bears dusky to deep red flowers
