My little Single Ended
EL84/6BQ5 amps..
A friend of mine gave these to me,he aquired a rack full
of them, from a local school that was upgrading thier intercom
system,These were the last two that he had left.
So I naturally tinkered with them a bit,and go them working once again!
I replaced most of the resistors, removed an un-needed preamp
stage,added line cords,power switches,and fuses,and a pentode/triode
switch. After a new set of tubes for them, they were working wonderfully
once again.
While they were mostly in pieces,I shot them with some black enamel I
had left from the PP 6V6 amp. I'm planning on enclosing all four sides
of the chassis with some nice wood to finish them off...I just havn't
found any wood yet. ;-)
I'll post the Schematic soon.. IIRC the power output was about 4W
pentode, and 1W triode, before any noticable distortion on the scope.
They sound pretty good for such "cute" little amps.
More to come. ;-)
