Our trip began in Minnesota, went north through North Dakota, then west across Montana, Idaho, and Washington to Gig Harbor, a small village on the shores of Puget Sound just 30 minutes southwest of Seattle. We experienced the Washington State life style, exploring the area from Vancouver, British Columbia down to Portland, Oregon, but primarily the greater Seattle area to find out if we like it well enough to consider it as a possible retirement location. 

We spent time on Puget Sound with my brother and his family, who have a boat out of Gig Harbor.

We also had a chance to do some climbing on Mount Rainier.  My brother and I  made a pact to return to Rainier and make the trip to the summit some summer in the not-to-distant future.
