LEROY'S TREES, PART II


      Our long-time sensei, Leroy Fujii (June 1925 - November 1998), designed some of Arizona's finest bonsai during his five decade study of the art.  He had well over a hundred bonsai in various stages of training at the time he left us. 
        On this and the previous page we present some examples of his work and play.  These photographs were taken January 1999 and were initially used for a custom memorial calendar.  The standardized measurements were taken on Sept. 5, 1999 and are maximum visual for each plane.  Height is vertical, width is horizontal, depth is front-to-back.  We are trying to get additional details about these compositions.  Stay tuned.  In the meantime, enjoy a few desert creations...
