Morning Views, Rocky Mountain National Park

Early in the morning along Trail Ridge road, there are few tourists, so the Elk wander the fields enjoying the views as much as the people. The 4x5 digital image is another one capable of huge enlargements that make it seem like you are there. In this image, the elk did not move during the approximately 2/3 second exposure, so no digital repair was needed.
This 4x5 image, was scanned at about 3300 ppi on a drum scanner (>600 mbyte file) and allows enlargements of 40 x 50 inches and larger. Image obtained with a 300 mm lens and Fujichrome Velvia.
