I just found the Chicago web page and wanted to tell you how much I enjoyed it and 
the comments from those that had served on her.  I noticed that the comments from 
others were dated either 1995 or 1996 so I don't know if this is your current address, 
I'll post it anyway. I served on-board from 68-71 and made two WESTPAC cruises. I was 
R-Div chief. I reported aboard as E-8 and advanced to E-9 while on board. The memories 
from the Chicago are some of the best I have of my career in the navy. Maybe it's because 
it's the last ship I served on, I left the Chicago and spent two years at recruit training 
command and then retirement. I have only met one person that served on her while I was 
there so that makes the comments from others on your page more meaningful.  I can remember 
the times on PIRAZ station when we (R-Div pers) would spend all day at flight quarters 
for what seemed months on end.  Again well done for bringing up some nice memories. . .
