thanks for the great information on CA-29. My Uncle Dillwyn Paxson served on 
that ship when it was sanked. He never talked about it. Only other family 
rumors or wise guesses about what actually happen. However, My Uncle passed 
away in March 1997 at 81 years old. My mother and I the only last living 
relatives found his navy journal that chronclies all the events that happened 
since he came aboard the Chicago until its sinking.
