In order to make everyone's life a little easier (that is, both
those technically- and non-technically-inclined), we've registered at some locations that can be accessed
either online or in the physical store locations. Also, we've combined some baby registry items with
the traditional wedding registry items for a variety of reasons (some of you asked for/suggested it,
baby items are actually something we need with the baby due August 26th, it was easier/more fun to register
for some of the baby items, etc.).
If you decide to send or bring a gift, please feel free to shop through the stores we've registered with, or to
find the items we've registered for at a location of your choice, or to surprise us altogether. The places
we've registered at are:
A note on colors: we're still working on the house, but the main color we've chosen
for the bathroom is forest green, and we've chosen an accent color of
dark blue for the kitchen (which will be primarily white when finished).
On May 25th at our second ultrasound, Ryleh Alexandra finally decided to show herself...well, the parts that
indicate she's Ryleh and not Niccoli, that is. *G* Nonetheless, we remain in strict avoidance of pink and
other blatant girliness, and are sticking to more neutral colors for all of the baby items. We continue to
actively search for the following colors and themes:
- Anything and everything in black, especially baby clothing, blankets and bedding. We already have an
all-black diaper bag (complete with black changing pad!); this was our first baby gift, from Dave and
Julie (thanks again, guys! *S*).
- Given that black baby clothes are next to impossible to find, we're looking for jewel tones:
royal purple, emerald green,
sapphire blue, maroon and other
deep reds (yes, we still plan to dress the baby like a Goth accessory *EG*)

- Okay, jewel tones are also difficult to find, so we're looking for items with bugs and reptiles, such as
frogs and snakes. Bats and monsters are of course also good, even if they are in pastels
(though we did manage to find and purchase a very cute black and purple bat baby bunting costume!).
- All these other preferences aside, we're sticking to light green,
light purple and white for most of the baby's
clothing. So far the only thing we know about the baby's room is that the ceiling will be sky blue with
white clouds and will probably have some sort of bright numbers/letters theme (with bats, cats and probably
Cthulu tossed in).
