TA-DAAAA! I never realized how hard it is to photograph stained glass. You can't see the iridescence at all, but in real life it shimmers with pink, green, and blue. I took another picture from across the room and at an angle, where my eyes could see not only the brilliant sparkles of sunlight on the textured glass, but also iridescent reflections in the window. However, the camera couldn't handle the contrast between the sunlit window and the relative darkness of the room, so all I got was a blur.
The holes in the panel are meant to be there, since
I was going for an ethereal look. It's a fairly sturdy piece, though.
There's a wire inside the solder all the way around the outside edge, and
my solder lines are good and strong. This picture shows the
piece not quite finished. It's finished now and I'll get the new
picture up asap, but first need to correct another problem--my server accidentally
deleted my site (ouch!), and I'm putting it back up on another server.
