FOOT PRINTS:  THE SHORES OF EARTH
Dark eternal shadows fall
across the universe and call
me from celestial mirth
unto the lonely shores of Earth

Cast upon a distant shore
through a universal door
I stand at evenings rise
to watch my star fade from my eyes

Shadows of the evening play
and dance across the dying day
to hide as night draws nigh
and bow before the starlit sky

Such travelers in concourse fled
across these sands who now are dead
I came to walk this way
My foot prints shall, but I can't stay

The longing sound of home winds fall
across the universe and call
me from the shores of Earth
unto a new celestial birth

Unfinished though my path may be
it's all that's left to speak for me
who stands upon my star in peace
until the universe shall cease

The shadows of the last day grow
inside my eyes as dead stars glow
their paling hue against the night
then silently fade out of sight

Dark eternal shadows fall
across the universe and call
me to eternal birth
to build again the shores of Earth.
