The Monocoupe "Bostonian".
Bostonians are a competitive category in Free Flight
modeling. This design is a semi-scale rubber powered model based
on the early Velie Monocoupes. This model first appeared in the October
1993 issue of Flying Models.

The Windicator "Bostonian".
This design is the work of Chief Jamesway, owner of
Jamesway Hobbies during his naval service in the South Pacific in WWII.
The plans were discovered at CBC Davisville RI. The Windicator first
appeared in the June 1994 issue of Flying Models.

The
"Super Fike".
The local doctor in Propwash, Dr. Russell, developed this design as a therapy
for people who all too frequently build ugly scale models like the regular
Fike or Lacey. The "Super Fike" inspired at least one larger R/C
version. The model first appeared in the December 1995 issue
of Flying Models..

The Glouchester Auster "Bostonian".
Chief Jamesway helped British Sgt. Pilot Sir Leslie
Dever-Connor build this reconnaissance airplane at NAS Jamesway in the
South Pacific during WWII. Sir Leslie's exploits led him to find
Amelia Earhart, among other things! It is a semi-scale design based
on the British version of the venerable Taylorcraft called the Auster.
The Glouchester Auster first appeared in the July 1998 issue
of Flying Models.

TheC-130.5 "Twin Hercules".
The Naval Reserve unit in Propwash is the unique SeaBee
Airwing One. Flying the twin engined "Twin Herc", the crew of CBAW-1
make a final deployment to the Antarctic with Operation DeepFreeze.
Their mission: to help with a NASA Solar Polar Project, but actually they
reorganize the global economy.

The Saturday Academy Flyer
The
Saturday Academy Flyer is a simple rubber powered free flight model which
has been
taught successfully in the Model Aircraft Aerodynamics Class through Saturday
Academy for
over 12 years. In that time several hundred middle school
aged kids have built and
flown this model. The design can be built either with more rectilinear
flying surfaces, or with
eliptical flying surfaces. The basic design is based on the "Manhattan"competitive
endurance
design formula..
Swan Island
Replications has developed this project as a "how to" instructional
package for
teachers,
or modellers, interested in helping kids discover the pleasures of modeling.

an extensive file and library with which to possibly fill in missing information.

deposit of 50% of the estimated cost is required to start your project.
