OUTREACH
- Purpose: To insure that visitors to
the congregation are welcomed, and respond to guests' and newcomers'
questions or concerns. Help develop ways to incorporate, involve,
and strengthen the faith of current members. To develop programs
which invite and include prospective members to the ministry of
the congregation, as well as develop strategies to deepen the faith
and discipleship of present members. To develop strategies promoting
the image and ministry of Glory of God within the community by
identifying outreach opportunities.
- Member: Elected by the congregation
to church council.
- Meetings: Usually once a month for
council or as needed.

Welcome and Hospitality Team 
The mission of this team is involved primarily
with visitor follow-up. The methods used potentially include mail
and personal visitation. Members will monitor mailboxes for accumulated
bulletins and make calls if members have not attended for several
weeks. This team will also train greeters and help respond to guests
and newcomers.

Analysis of Worship and Building
Team
Analyze and suggest improvements to worship service
and buildings to enhance the visitor's experience. This team will
work in conjunction with the worship and building committees to establish
areas of need.

Outreach Programs Team  
Alternative Music - Captive Free - Christian musical
group
Small group ministries
Advertise the congregation through community newspapers,
bulletins, posters, school newsletters, or special letters of welcome.
Kullerstrand Elementary School - An ad is placed
each month in the School newspaper and we help support their Wish
List. Items needed by Kullerstrand are listed in the bulletin.
Christian Reader - placed in Narthex for
purchase.

Attend meeting for new members to
develop a profile to be published in the newsletter. Pictures are
also taken and placed in the lower right hand corner of picture board.

Family Prayer Lists - Cards are sent out informing
members of Sundays that prayers are said for their families.

Gal's Night In
- Purpose: To allow adult women of GOG and their
friends to meet on a monthly basis for food, fellowship and delightful
conversation.
- Members: All interested women of GOG and their
invited friends
- Meetings: Second Monday of every month at 7:00
p.m. or as scheduled
