Vision for the Future

VISION FOR THE FUTURE
We see Eastern Heights Evangelical Lutheran Congregation becoming a multi cultural center for Christian ministry in our diverse area, large enough in membership, program and facilities to be an effective tool for our Lord in reaching out to the thousands of lost and unchurched people in the East Metro of the Twin Cities.

Our vision focuses on variety in Worship (traditional to contemporary), Christian childcare, Christian education for all ages, and other programs which meet the spiritual needs of children, youth, families, singles and seniors.

Our vision also includes the multiplication of our ministry to reach more people in a wider area by giving birth to a daughter congregation, starting a second site ministry or other means.

Strategies to make the vision a reality

1. MAKE TIME Our Eastern Heights family will…
A. Worship every Sunday (or Monday) unless sick or out of town.
B. Study God’s Word in adult Bible class or other Bible study group
C. Pray and read the Scriptures at home daily (individually or as a family)

2. USE OUR TALENTS Our Eastern Heights family will…
A. Discover our gifts and unique shape for serving
B. Volunteer for at least one project or ministry in our church or community.

3. GIVE OUR TREASURE Our Eastern Heights family will…
A. Pledge our financial gifts in proportion to our incomes.
B. Share back with God the first portion, rather than what is left over after our own wants and needs are satisfied. Give sacrificially… giving up something we like, for something we love
