Dining on the Missouri (in style)

Our quarterly dinner party group didn't know what to expect when Darryl and Carol Anderson invited us for a ride aboard their pontoon sponsored by "River Rat Cruises."  After a leisurely trip south of town, we found an uninhabited sand bar.  Below, Darryl "drops anchor."

Since the  Norwegians (Gunnar and Feli Vik) joined us, we put them in charge of libations.  They have a tasty little concoction called a "fjellbekk" or mountain creek.  The recipe calls for aquavit, vodka, lime juice, and 7-Up over crushed ice.

We ate in style on linen-covered tables accented by a candelabra.

A merry time was had by all.

As the sun sank, we packed and headed upstream.
