The Norwegians landed

The long-anticipated arrival of Gunnar and Feli Vik from Oslo culminated last month.  After recovering from jet lag in the Twin Cities, they did some sight-seeing with Jeff and Anna Lindlief, then spent some time at Linda and Harold Legreid's cabin at East Battle Lake before heading west.

We did some  canoeing on the Missouri River and attended a  pow-wow  and a sundance in Fort Yates.  Gunnar and Feli then spent some time in Maddock and Devils Lake before returning to Bismarck where they participated in our quarterly  dinner party .  Mostly, though, we just visited.  We're hoping they had a good time; we did.

Gunnar, Feli, Reed, Pam, Meredith and Jim at Prairie Knights Casino where we spent the night before attending the sundance at sunrise on the Felix Kidder ranch north of Fort Yates.

Gunnar needed no help riding Jim's recumbent bicycle and was whizzing down the street in no time.

Firemann and Mary Lois joined us for dinner one evening.

Jim points to "Ms. Natural."  Although she had never golfed before, Feli pitched her first shot some 45 yards to within 10 feet of the cup on number one at Hawktree.

Reed shows off a present from Norway.
