Samuel HOUSTON November 7, 1868 - June 14, 1914
Samuel was the last of the children to be born in Rusk County, Texas. He was married twice, and is buried next to his second wife Mable at Wheatland Cemetery, Dallas, Texas. Sam Houston died while cleaning a gun. His son, Wilson Henry Houston lived in Durant, Oklahoma (on Texas Street) on last contact in the early ‘70s.
