    Also settling in Wilkes County about 1784 were two Waltons – Jesse and Thomas who received grants of 200 and 400 acres respectively.  The Waltons were from Virginia – Goochland, where Jesse Walton’s older sister Frances had married into the MULLINS family in Goochland.  The children of William WALTON I were:

1. Frances WALTON                    b: 1734 in New Kent County, Virginia

2. Jesse WALTON                        b: 1740 in Goochland, Virginia

3. William WALTON II
