Speaker fees

Ruth “hard to get 2 ministers/month.

Debra & Jessica: Intention of the budget is to have two UU ministers a month.

Discussion focused on congregations’ intentions for having visiting ministers.

All of the board members agreed on the following resolution:

"The board took a motion charging the worship committee to continue to strive to engage UU ministers up to two sermons a month; barring that they can provide honoraria to other speakers at their discretion."

Financial

Right now we have $5,925.41 (not including the promised grant from UUA)

Monthly expenses (Rent $875, Niya $1,000, Pulpit $1,000, Phone bill $88, etc.)

Next month Debra will get the sense of where we are financially.

Trinity luncheon

Trinity opted to do the luncheon with professional caterers. We won’t be involved.

Long range planning (Anne)

Recruiting members: James will do it. Bruce may do it. Still need more.

Proposals (facility, long range, staffing) --- But Board chose not to proceed, fearing that this could result in trying to do more than we can.

Instead, facility search task force was formed.

Anne created a word file from the help-wanted forms. The forms will be sent to everybody with the newsletter.

We may potentially share space/community with them.
