We lit a chalice, and checked in.We approved the June 18 minutes.

Treasurer's report

We took $700 from savings last year, not the $6600 we budgeted.We started taking special collections (grand total $3800, the Eliot Center contribution was $291) and our share of collections increased as well, to 150% of what we budgeted.

We signed fresh signature cards for the bank account.

We signed a lease for Waverly for the coming year.Their moderator will sign copies, and we'll each have one.

Ministry contract

We like the contract for the second and final year of consulting from Cecilia.Everyone liked all the items on the list, but there was no clear consensus which things should be first.

The board tried to schedule a social gathering.Anne's house.]

Committees

We voted unanimously to allocate $50 of training money to send Karla to a committee chair training in Olympia.

We happily delegate Religious Education issues to Karla.

We discussed who should be on various committees, and who might be recruited.She'll post her descriptions in a week if none of us have any suggestions.

The Search Committee and Long Range planning should start meeting in September.

Search committees consist of 5 members, 2 picked by the board and 3 by nominating committee.And the congregation (40% quorum, 80% consensus) has to vote in a meeting to impanel and empower the committee.
